Tufts University: Alice Trexler - Dance - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
This dance class is by no means a fun, easy class to take to satisfy an arts requirement. Rather, I was overwhelmed with the Prof. Trexler's strict policies and assignments. She showed definite enthusiasm for the coursework, which included learning essential physical theatrical concepts, yet which were presented in a very intense manner. The few who enjoyed the class were drama majors who Prof. Trexler showed a definite liking to. She was not sympathetic toward missing the class, rather, when I was sick I was required to sit in on the class anyway. I dreaded this class because of her attitude.
Workload:
This class was way too intense for a dance class. Readings were boring, and outside work was far too much. There was not enough weight to class participation, which she stressed, instead the "journals" we had to submit were weighed heavily on our grades. She was also a very hard grader when reading the journals.
